Polymethyl methacrylate (abbreviated as PMMA) is a type of high molecular polymer, also known as acrylic, acrylic plastic (in English), or plexiglass. It has the advantages of high transparency, low price, and ease of mechanical processing. It is a commonly used glass substitute material.

1.It has excellent weather resistance, low water permeability and high light transmittance, low light elasticity coefficient, good processing performance, non-toxicity and excellent comprehensive properties.

2. The acrylic protective film has excellent adhesion to the protected material. During the process of material transportation and processing, the protective film will not curl or fall off. Nowadays, most protective films are self-adhesive or have electrostatic adsorption properties, which enables them to adhere well to the surface of the items.

3. The acrylic protective film has excellent weather resistance and adhesive retention stability. After being adhered for several days or for a long period, the peel strength does not significantly increase. It is easy to remove, and no residual glue remains on the protected surface when it is removed.

4. The acrylic protective film can have good processing adaptability and meet the requirements for further processing of the protected object.

5. The membrane can be printed, colored and adhered. It exhibits long-term color and gloss stability when exposed outdoors, and has excellent UV resistance.

Application of PMMA Film

1.Used in the PVA protective layer of the polarizing film.

With low water permeability and high optical film transmittance. Solutions for different widths/thicknesses and various surfaces.

2. Application on reflective materials.

The PMMA reflective film specially designed for road signs and signboards. It has excellent optical properties and weather resistance; at the same time, it can provide outstanding scratch resistance, printing and cutting processing performance.
